WEATHER UPDATES

IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL BOATIES

COASTGUARD IS ABOUT SAVING LIVES....
We're the ones who go out in all conditions to help those in trouble. We would rather be at home watching the rugby or spending time with our families just like you....so let's be blunt. If you go out without checking the latest weather update first you're a fool. You not only put your own life at risk but also the lives of anyone else on board and the lives of your rescuers. It is the responsibility of anyone going out to sea to check the weather before you go. No excuses. Here's options how.....
  1. Check the paper
  2. Phone the MetPhone on 0900 900 followed by your area code
  3. Phone your local Coastguard.
  4. Watch the News on TV
  5. Use Teletext
  6. Listen to Nowcasting on VHF Ch 21 for current conditions

....or 7.  Use the internet. Check out the following sites for more information on weather, tides, & currents
